Uncontrollable

An endless platformer that keeps moving the keyboard under your feet.

Uncontrollable is a first-person endless runner in which the path is procedural and the controls refuse to stay put. Reach portals across six worlds, grab pyramids and power-ups, and relearn movement as the key bindings drift farther from WASD.

What is Uncontrollable?

The route is familiar platforming territory—run, jump, avoid bad landings, and reach the portal—but your hands cannot settle into autopilot. Movement keys randomly remap during the run, beginning with WASD-like clusters and growing less predictable as you travel through six procedurally generated worlds. Optional pyramids feed the score, eleven power-ups complicate the trip, and every portal buys another round of keyboard re-education. It is a tidy joke at the expense of muscle memory, stretched into an endless challenge.

What you can do there

  • Adapt to changing movement keys
  • Cross procedurally generated platforms
  • Reach portals between worlds
  • Collect pyramids and power-ups

Why we picked it

Most platformers teach a control scheme and then test what you can do with it. Uncontrollable keeps yanking that foundation away, turning the act of remembering left and right into the main obstacle. The expanded 2023 build also gives a three-hour game-jam idea more room to misbehave without sanding off its strange central trick.

How to get the most from it

Keep checking which keys currently handle movement, and treat the early levels as practice because their swaps stay close to WASD. Hold the assigned Run key to accelerate, even in midair, and avoid landing on platform edges. The portal advances the run; pyramids are optional score boosters.

Good to know

The free build runs in a browser and also has Windows and Linux downloads. It uses keyboard and mouse, supports English and Ukrainian, and labels an average session as only a few seconds—though a strong run can continue across portals. Rapid first-person movement and remapped keys may be disorienting, and touch controls are not documented.
