What is Return of the Cat Mummy?
The hook is cheerfully strange: Bastet sends a mummified cat back into the world with nine lives and a ceremonial errand. Each level turns part of that errand into a race, with objects to collect and hazards borrowed from the imagery and beliefs of ancient Egypt. The playful chase sits inside a larger Google Arts & Culture collection, so the canopic jars, amulets, cats, and underworld figures have somewhere useful to lead after the run ends. It is a game-shaped doorway into the subject, not a substitute for the museum material around it.
