MyAquarium V1

Draw a fish, release a species, and let the tank do the swimming.

MyAquarium V1 pairs a small drawing editor with a virtual fish tank. Sketch a creature, turn it into a new species, and watch your handmade swimmer join the aquarium—a cozy loop with a faintly ominous warning not to get too attached.

What is MyAquarium V1?

The pleasure here begins with a squiggle and ends with that squiggle swimming away. MyAquarium V1 lets you design fish inside its editor, then moves the result into a virtual tank as a new species. It is less management sim than digital terrarium: make something, watch it roam, then make the next odd little resident. The project remains in development, and the spare page leaves important behavior unexplained. That uncertainty gives the aquarium some charm, though a participant has also reported that clicks in the tank can leak marks back into the editor.

What you can do there

  • Draw a fish in the in-game editor
  • Create a new species and watch it swim in the tank

Why we picked it

A drawing tool that gives your doodle somewhere to live is an instantly legible delight. The handoff from editor to aquarium makes even a rough fish feel like a tiny act of creation.

How to get the most from it

Begin with a bold, simple fish shape so its silhouette remains readable in the tank. Release it, watch how it swims, then vary the next design rather than polishing one creature forever.

Good to know

This is a free, in-development English HTML5 project made with Godot, not a finished aquarium-management game. A participant reported limited direct fish interaction and stray editor marks after tank clicks. Audio, save behavior, mobile use, and accessibility were not tested.
