I'll get to this chest!

One chest, one tiny pixel world, and the surprisingly elastic distance between intention and done.

I'll get to this chest! is a few-minute Bitsy microgame about the stubborn business of finishing one apparently simple task. It wraps that narrow promise in dark pixel art, surreal tags, a credited Komiku track, and just enough comic energy to make the title sound increasingly like a pep talk.

What is I'll get to this chest!?

A treasure chest is one of games' clearest verbs: go there, open that, collect the thing. Vincent Vially turns the instruction into the entire scale of the adventure. Built in Bitsy, the game uses the engine's tiny-world grammar—compact rooms, readable pixels, movement, and conversation—to put a little space between wanting the chest and actually reaching it. The surrounding presentation calls the work atmospheric, dark, minimalist, surreal, and weird, while early player reactions lean heavily toward laughter. That tension is the hook. It is less a heroic expedition than a pocket-sized portrait of procrastination, persistence, or whatever else happens when a simple objective refuses to stay simple.

What you can do there

  • Cross a tiny pixel world in pursuit of a chest

Why we picked it

The title supplies a complete quest and a complete mood before the first step. A game this small has nowhere to hide, so the contrast between a blunt objective, gloomy pixel atmosphere, and comic response has to carry the visit. That is exactly the sort of concentrated web oddity that earns a quick detour.

How to get the most from it

Open the embedded game and follow its on-screen prompts toward the chest. The listing supports keyboard, mouse, and smartphone input, so use whichever feels least fussy. Read any dialogue instead of treating the route as a speedrun; in a Bitsy-sized world, the interruption is often the point. Set aside only a few minutes, then replay if the ending makes the title feel different.

Good to know

The page warns that the English may contain errors and credits Komiku's “You, yourself and the main character” for music. It labels the assets CC0 and offers a support-the-game link rather than a fixed purchase price. Exact audio behavior, save state, accessibility support, and the scope of the license label were not independently verified. No screenshot was captured, and detected icon and social artwork remain unapproved evidence only.
