HANDMADE GOD is a compact puzzle game built around editable properties. Instead of merely dodging an obstacle, you can change what the obstacle is allowed to do, then see whether the scribbled inhabitants can reach the other side.
What is HANDMADE GOD?
The notebook aesthetic is more than decoration: everything looks as if it can be annotated, crossed out, or given a new instruction. Objects carry rule tags, and the puzzle is to decide which properties should stay attached. A troublesome barrier may become harmless once its behavior changes; a route that looked fixed can turn into a small physics experiment. Version 1.0.2 adds several ways to drag or click those tags, along with level selection, interface scaling, display options, and speed controls. The result is a pleasing little argument with the rules themselves.
What you can do there
- Inspect rules attached to objects
- Drag or click rule tags
- Alter obstacle behavior
- Guide scribble characters through levels
- Select and replay levels
Why we picked it
Most puzzle games teach a system and ask you to obey it. HANDMADE GOD puts the system on scraps of paper and lets you meddle. That flip is easy to understand, visually coherent, and fertile enough to reward mischievous solutions.
How to get the most from it
Read every rule tag before moving anything, then test one change at a time so cause and effect stay visible. If the scribbles take too long to travel, use one of the documented speed settings; the current menu also lets you change tag display and control style.
Good to know
The browser build is free, with optional pay-what-you-want Windows and Android downloads. Recent updates fixed web tag removal and a stuck enemy, but some player-reported shortcuts were not retested here. Live audio, keyboard, accessibility, localization, save, and performance behavior remain unconfirmed.
