Find Your Self starts as a search for the character you control, then moves through hidden-object play, Pac-Man-like collecting, crowd coloring, and a chase after a fast dot. The mechanical shuffle carries a compact argument about where one person ends and everyone else begins.

What is Find Your Self?

This browser piece treats identity as both theme and control problem. First you have to locate yourself; later chapters shift through maze-like collecting, expanding color, and a crowd mechanic built around people influencing one another. The creator describes it as a ten-minute interactive poem, which is the right scale: short enough to follow its transformations in one sitting, but pointed enough to keep the final argument open after the tab closes. A chapter selector, reload control, and small-screen text toggle were added while the ending and late-game instructions were polished.

What you can do there

  • Find the character you control
  • Move with WASD or swipes
  • Progress through changing game mechanics
  • Read a narrative about identity and collective influence

Why we picked it

The title's wordplay earns its keep. Find Your Self makes a philosophical question tangible by repeatedly changing what counts as you, what counts as another person, and what kind of action the page expects next.

How to get the most from it

Click or touch the character you control, then move with WASD or swipes. Set aside about ten minutes, read the short passages between mechanical changes, and let the ending be an invitation to argue rather than a verdict to memorize.

Good to know

The work is available in English, French, and Japanese, though the creator invites corrections to the Japanese text. A 2025 update improved late-game guidance and performance while acknowledging phone-layout friction. Open it on itch.io because its frame policy does not permit Site Stumble embedding.
