What is Art Aura?

Museum databases are excellent when you already know the artist, century, or medium you want. Art Aura starts earlier, with the softer hunch that two objects share a mood, shape, color, or idea. You feed its discovery zone a mixture of artworks and language; the system uses multimodal matching to return related pieces from across The Met's departments. Each choice also contributes to a personalized art portrait, capped with generated summary graphics. The result feels closer to laying postcards across a table than filling out an archive form, and its best trick is nudging attention sideways into departments you might never have searched by name.
