Thrifting 101

A thrift-store scramble where the best fit can vanish into somebody else's basket

Thrifting 101 turns second-hand shopping into a bright, comic point-and-click scramble. Dig for clothes, secure the pieces you want before rival shoppers do, and see the resulting outfit take its victory lap at the end.

What is Thrifting 101?

This compact Unity simulation treats a thrift shop like a fashion treasure hunt with elbows out. You sift through the pile for wearable prizes, contend with quick-handed shoppers, and build a look from whatever survives the dash to your basket. The tone is cheerfully silly rather than cutthroat; even the stray dead rat reads like a bargain-bin punchline. A final outfit presentation gives the rummaging a payoff, though the basket logic may take a moment to decode and transitions can move at a leisurely fitting-room pace.

What you can do there

  • Dig through second-hand clothing
  • Secure favorite finds in a basket
  • Assemble and reveal an outfit

Why we picked it

Plenty of dress-up games begin with a pristine closet. This one finds its personality in the opposite direction: uncertain piles, odd discoveries, and the minor panic of watching somebody else reach for your find. That friction gives the fashion choices a welcome little pulse.

How to get the most from it

Launch the browser version and follow the point-and-click prompts while working through the clothing pile. Move appealing pieces into your basket quickly; the creators indicate that unsecured finds remain fair game for other shoppers. Stay for the final outfit presentation.
