MACHI-MENTIBUS is a Spanish tile-fitting puzzle set in a hand-drawn laboratory of 2945. You place and rotate pieces of knowledge inside successive automatons, trying to grow every intellectual branch without turning the workbench into a brass-plated traffic jam.
What is MACHI-MENTIBUS?
A young researcher has managed the small feat of creating a humanlike consciousness; now she has to educate it. Knowledge arrives as shapes to pick up, rotate, and fit into a branching layout, linking the jam's theme directly to both the board and the machine's development. The premise gives a familiar spatial puzzle an agreeably strange purpose: every tidy placement is another scrap of expertise crammed into tomorrow's automaton. The presentation leans into hand-drawn robots and steampunk laboratory machinery rather than abstract blocks alone.
What you can do there
- Place knowledge pieces into an automaton
- Rotate pieces with the right mouse button
- Iterate through different machine prototypes
Why we picked it
The game turns a broad theme into a concrete visual rule. Branches are fields of knowledge, paths through a puzzle, and the structure of a growing mechanical mind all at once. That layered idea gives the piece-fitting loop a personality that a plain score chase would not have, while the short jam scale keeps the contraption approachable.
How to get the most from it
Choose Run game, use the left mouse button to pick up pieces or interact, and use the right button to rotate a piece before placing it. Watch how each choice develops the different knowledge branches, then carry what you learned into the next version of the automaton.
Good to know
The page is in Spanish and lists both an HTML5 browser build and a 145 MB Windows download. The controls are mouse-based, but touch behavior is not established. One player specifically noted that the final branch colors lacked labels, which may make the resulting creature harder to interpret.
